About the Author

Pav Sheen has been working successfully as an estate agent in the London property market for many years. However in 2004 he left estate agency to pursue a number of personal goals. He took up a job working as a private agent/advisor for a consortium of property investors but maintained his interest in the London property market as well as his contacts in the industry. In 2006 two members of his family that had been duped and "Gazumped" on a number of occasions by some very underhanded estate agents approached him. After seeing the anxiety it had caused them and the amount of money they had lost as a result of poor regulation and a lack of professionalism he took it upon himself to draft a rough guide on what to expect from such agents so that they may avoid similar situations in the future.

What began as a few pages of a rough guide for a family member quickly grew into arguably one of the first books written about estate agents for buyers and sellers. He offered an insight into the world of estate agency like never seen previously. Not only did he expose the tricks and tactics used by estate agents but also provided helpful tips that accompanied each stage of his book for buyers and sellers throughout the whole property process. As a result Tip, Tricks and Traps – Everything You Need to Know About Estate Agents was born.
